Cawdor has been successful in gaining a $1000 grant from the Minerals Council, BHP Billiton and Illawarra Coal. The grant will be used to build a sensory garden in the playground where children can work and play creatively. The cheque was presented to members of the Enviro Power group last Thursday. Special thanks to Mrs Diana Le Good, our Environmental Education coordinator, for completing the grant submission on behalf of the school and to the organisations that support our environmental programs. Previous projects funded by Enviro Smart grants have included greenhouse plant propagation and a watering system for the school's gardens.
